Launched by the German Empress, Augusta Victoria, whom the vessel was named after. She was the largest vessel in the world until the launching of Lusitania.

Maiden voyage: Hamburg - Dover - Cherbourg - New York.

The ship was ceded to Great Britain as a war reparation and was initially chartered to the United States Shipping Board and used to repatriate American soldiers.
February 1920 - January 1921
Still bearing her original name, made Liverpool-New York roundtrips for the Cunard Line between.
May 1921
Sold to Canadian Pacific and renamed Empress of Scotland. She was also converted burn oil fuel.
October 1930
Laid up at Southend.
December 1930
Sold for scrap.
December 10, 1930
Burned and sank at her berth at the shipbreaker's. Broke in two. Both sections raised and scrapped.
October 1931
Demolition completed.
