Hello. I found your blog by doing a Google search for Graziowa. I am doing family research and recently discovered my family came to the United States through Ellis Island from Graziowa. I found records with their last name of "Buc" It has since changed to Butch. I believe my great great grandfather Mikolaj Buc is #50 on your map of Graziowa. Is there anywhere online I can do more research or do you have any more information on the Buc family? Thanks you for your blog and all the information. My email address is timbutch16@gmail.com

Thank you for the email reply.  Here is the family history of the Buc' family that I know....My great great grandfather Mikalaj Buc' came to 
America in April 14, 1907.  Once in America he went to Taylor, Pennsylvania to meet his brother Jozef Buc'.  Mikalaj's wife Haska Buc then came to America on April 1, 1908 with their three children.  The youngest, Jwan Buc', is my great grandfather.  After in America their name somehow got changed to Buch then to Butch, which is now what it is.  Not only did the last name change but also their first names.  Mikalaj Buc died as Michael Butch, Haska Buc died as Catherine Butch, and Jwan Buc died as John Butch.  I don't have any letters or photographs of theirs that were from Graziowa.  My brother had discovered Mikalaj's and Jwan's United States Naturalization records with the "Buc" last name.  Those naturalization records led us to finding their Ellis Island passenger records which had Mikalaj's last place of residence as Graziowa.  I have attached the passenger records and their ship manifests.  Any help or ideas on our family would be very appreciated.  Thanks again.
